I spent nearly a decade in research labs and universities studying human performance, analyzing data on what actually works when it comes to health and fitness. I've published peer-reviewed studies, designed programs for firefighters and military personnel, led college departments, and coached everyone from tactical athletes to busy professionals just trying to feel better in their bodies.
Here's what all that research and experience taught me: the science of health isn't complicated, but applying it to real life? That's the hard part. And for women—especially those in high-demand careers like law enforcement, military, and firefighting—that gap between research and reality can feel impossible to bridge.
I started Simple, Not Easy because I was tired of seeing evidence-based training locked away in academic journals or watered down into quick-fix promises. And I was especially frustrated watching female tactical athletes trying to navigate training programs built for male physiology, or women being told their hormones, menstrual cycles, and life stages were "complications" rather than considerations.
With a PhD in Kinesiology, certifications in strength and conditioning, and specialized training in women's health, I build programs rooted in what the research actually shows—then make them work for your actual life. While we work with everyone, we specialize in women's coaching and the unique needs of female tactical athletes, because your training should account for your physiology, not ignore it.
